April 16, 2007, 8:34am: Power Outages in Greensboro = Network Down
Starting around 5am this morning, gusty winds are bringing down some trees, which are causing power outages. These outages are taking down some of our points. At this moment, the Church and Town Hall in Greensboro are without power, and our Greensboro Network is down. We expect our points to come back up as the power is restored. This will be an ongoing problem until the power is fully restored by Hardwick Electric once the storm passes. Note that power outages at the Town Hall and Church will have effects on the entire system, not just those two locations. At 5:49pm power was restored to the town hall. The Church, Stannard, Tollman and the Town Hall access points have had their service restored. Still out are Edsall Hill, Cook Hill, Gebbie Hill, and The Bend. Hardwick electric says that today power will be restored to Edsall, and the other points ill come up when power is restored to Edsall. At 10:52am 4/23/07 Power was restored to the Edsall Point. All of the network is back to functioning. If you are experiencing issues, please reboot your equipment. If it is still non-operational, please call our support. |
